We always do everything we possibly can to make sure your pet’s time in the salon is as pleasant as possible. Grooming can, unfortunately, occasionally expose a previously hidden medical issue, or aggravate a current one. This can happen during or after grooming.

It is possible that an accident could occur during grooming. Utmost care and caution will always be taken, but cuts, scratches, nicks and quicking of nails could occur. Centre Stage Dog Grooming will not be responsible for any conditions or problems discovered during grooming.

Centre Stage Dog Grooming will not be responsible for the accidental death of the pet as a result of any pre-existing health condition.

Vets Fees: Should Centre Stage Dog Grooming determine, at its sole discretion, that urgent veterinary care is required, I agree to pay all associated fees and costs. If my pet’s vet is not available, I authorise Centre Stage Dog Grooming to use its chosen vet. Centre Stage Dog Grooming will not be liable for any after-grooming effects of de-matting, clipping or brushing procedures, or problems uncovered on a badly matted or otherwise neglected coat including, but not limited to, skin redness, itchiness, or self-inflicted irritations from excessive external scratching or rubbing. Time and costs associated with de-matting are unpredictable. I agree to pay whatever fees are incurred as a result of de-matting. Whether a dog is matted is at the sole discretion of Centre Stage Dog Grooming.

Agressive Dogs: I agree that I have truthfully informed Centre Stage Dog Grooming if my pet has ever bitten another animal or a human, or if they have any other aggressive tendencies. I agree and understand that I will be held solely responsible for any injury, harm or damage to property caused by my pet.

Refuse to Groom: Centre Stage Dog Grooming reserves the right to refuse to groom a pet in an unsatisfactory state, including, but not limited to, behavioural issues, fleas, ticks, other parasites or kennel cough.

Missed Appointments: Centre Stage Dog Grooming operates a strict policy on missed appointments and I agree to that if I need to change an appointment I will notify Centre Stage Dog Grooming no less than 2 days before the booked appointment. If insufficient notice is given, I agree to pay the grooming charges that would have been applicable had I attended the appointment. If appointments are missed on a regular basis, pre-payment will be required.

Photography: Centre Stage Dog Grooming retains the rights to all photographs and videos that they take of your dog. Signing this contract constitutes permission for Centre Stage Dog Grooming to use the photographs for any purpose they deem fit. These purposes will normally include advertising or educational posts on social media.

Matted Dogs: In the event of your dog being unacceptably matted, I acknowledge that because of the condition of my dog’s coat today, I have left Centre Stage Dog Grooming no option other than to shave my dog’s coat off completely. The condition of my dog’s skin and coat is entirely my responsibility and I acknowledge that no one can know what horrors may be lurking beneath the matted fur, nor will I endeavour to hold anyone else responsible for them. Please be aware that a shave-down is the very last thing Centre Stage Dog Grooming wants to have to do to your dog. It is, after all, Centre Stage Dog Grooming’s reputation at the end of your lead. Your dog will not know that it looks different and will react with shock and dismay if you or your family make derisive comments about its shorn locks. This is often mistaken for humiliation or embarrassment, please remember, this is the same dog that poops in public. Your dog’s matted coat may be hiding a multitude of horrible things, clipping off the felt will reveal them. Release from where the coat has been pulling at and constricting the skin may cause intense itching or tingling. It is your responsibility to monitor this. Do not take your dog swimming for at least a week. Walks should be restricted and on lead for the first couple of days. The skin may have nicks and or cuts which you will need to tend to immediately. You acknowledge responsibility for all of the above by signing this waiver before we can proceed.

No Shows or Late Cancellations: A client is deemed to have no-showed their appointment if they fail to turn up for it. Cancellations must be made within 2 working days of the appointment date to be within a time frame where their appointment could be reasonably filled by another client. The first no-shows or late cancellation is free, because “life happens” but subsequent missed appointments are charged at 50% if within 48 hours or 100% if missed on the day. You must agree to this before we can proceed.

Ultrasound Teeth Maintenance: Our Ultrasound Teeth maintenance service is exactly that, a teeth maintenance service. It is suitable for dogs with no, mild or moderate tartar build-up. It can help remove plaque, and tartar and freshen breath. The operator is NOT a veterinarian and teeth maintenance is NOT a substitute for veterinary treatment where a dog requires dental work beyond cleaning. Owners should be aware of the following, I understand Centre Stage Dog Grooming will be using an ultrasound toothbrush on my dog which has no vibration, no movement and no noise. I understand Centre Stage Dog Grooming will take before and after pictures to show me. I consent to the use of a tooth de-scaler on my dog’s teeth in a kind and gentle manner, to remove any loose tartar, plaque or stains from the teeth. I understand that the staff will stop the teeth cleaning session and I may need to seek veterinary assistance if any loose teeth are suspected, if my dog objects and becomes stressed or aggressive, or if any obvious abnormalities are visible or suspected in the mouth such as a foreign body embedded in the mouth, oral warts, oral injuries or tumours. I understand that there may be some minor bleeding of the gums during and after teeth cleaning as the tartar and plaque is removed. If the session has to stop for any health or behaviour reasons, I will still pay for the full session taking place. I declare that I do not know of any medical reason why teeth cleaning cannot be carried out on my dog and I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to inform Centre Stage Dog Grooming in the future should this be the case. I am aware that the teeth cleaning service is not a substitute for a veterinary inspection and Centre Stage Dog Grooming is not qualified to diagnose abnormalities or diseases. I consent to all the above and confirm that I am the legal owner or guardian of this dog.

Payments: Payment must be made before the dog can be collected. Payment methods are currently cash or card, or in the case of VIPs, a recurring payment from your bank to mine. VIP subscriptions must be paid on the 1st of each month. If a VIP payment fails to materialise, for whatever reason, the next appointment will be charged at the current ad-hoc price.
